As you may have heard, it has released a patch for PS Vita the version of the firmware is 1.52. And many feared would be a patch against security holes in the PSP emulator But now it is “confirmed” that this is not the case so you can patch in peace and quiet (But my source are not 100%). I will return when i get better information about it and its 100% confirmed.
It should be added that they have now managed to fix HBL at the European version of PS Vita!
Today wrote Wololo an update about the HBL hack. They have nog managed to create the first usefull “hack” for the PS Vita, now its possible to run picodrive (Sega Megadrive emulator).

What made it possible was the HBL hack that uses PS Vitas built-in PSP emulator.
So far, they have not released any details how to go about to install this by yourself but we at Unlock-psp will ofcourse publisch a step-by-step tutorial when they publisch more information about the hack! come up with information when it becomes public.
It should be really interesting to follow the hacking progress and see how Sony will respond to these security vulnerabilities.
The progress to hack PS Vita goes forward, December 23′th released Wololo an article there they confirm Teck-4′s exploit and they have successfully run HBL exploit. The exploits run trough PS Vita’s PSP emulator, So we will unfortunately have to wait a while until we will see any good exploit for the PS Vita but this is a good progress i think we will see a new hack soon.
